Richard R. Stiebritz, Jr.

Rick serves as President and Managing Shareholder of Fischer Cunnane and has over 30 years of experience serving as an active, client-facing partner on client engagements with public and private companies. He also is the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board liaison.

Rick is a trusted advisor to leaders for strategic decision making and troubleshooting. His areas of expertise include accounting, auditing, business and personal taxes, outsourced controller/CFO, business coaching, and strategic acquisitions.

Client service is paramount at Fischer Cunnane, and Rick has championed that core value since joining the firm in 2002.

With more than a dozen years of experience as a CFO for both a startup and a Fortune 500 company, Rick understands what it’s like to be in his clients’ shoes. He sees himself as the client’s proxy—whether he’s leading a complex audit, an internal controls review, or providing client support for an acquisition. During interactions with clients, he internalizes their long-term goals and objectives so that he can articulate that vision to the rest of the Fischer Cunnane team.

Rick’s commitment to client service began early in his career at Deloitte and solidified during 11 years as regional CFO and controller for a Fortune 500 corporation. His responsibilities ranged from performing acquisition due diligence to streamlining the financial operations of a multi-billiondollar division. During his tenure as CFO, Rick led efforts to acquire five competing businesses, where he assimilated and realigned financial operations including streamlining the month-end accounting close from 11 days to four.

Throughout his career, Rick has developed fluency in tax concepts in addition to his deep accounting and audit expertise and overall business acumen. He draws on that broad background to help clients weigh the potential risks and rewards of various options for managing a growing business, especially in an economic and regulatory environment in constant flux.

Rick resides in West Chester with his wife Maureen and has four grown children and two grandchildren. In his spare time he is involved with several non-profit organizations and enjoys golf and spending time with family.
