Job Description

The Audit and Assurance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing audit engagements to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies and is a key player in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and promoting effective internal controls within an organization.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to ensure successful audit engagements and client satisfaction. The Audit and Assurance Supervisor leads a team of auditors, coordinating audit activities, and providing valuable insights to improve internal controls and financial processes, and collaborates with clients, team members, and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

Audit Planning and Execution:

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Job Description

The Senior Tax Associate is responsible for managing multiple tax engagements and overseeing various aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting.

This role involves collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, adherence to tax regulations, and implementation of effective tax strategies for our clients.

Responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, nonprofit and individual tax returns, working papers and current year filing instructions ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare more complicated and multi-state returns.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advise management on potential impacts and implement necessary adjustments.

Tax Planning:

  • Provide tax advice and assist clients in understanding the tax consequences for planned transactions.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities.
  • Analyze financial data and transactions to identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate courses of action.

Financial Analysis:

Job Description

The Tax Manager serves as a strategic partner to the finance and accounting teams, collaborating to optimize client tax positions.

This full-time position requires a dependable individual capable of overseeing and managing tax-related activities for the firm’s clients, including reviewing and preparing complex Business, Individual, Trust and Not-for-Profit federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring tax compliance, providing tax planning and optimization strategies, and managing tax audit and controversy matters.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare complex Business, Individual, Trust and Not-for-Profit federal, state, and local tax returns. Provide assistance to staff with preparing more complicated returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and provide tax planning recommendations to minimize the overall tax burden.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and best practices, and communicate the impact to the organization.
  • Perform Tax Research and related Tax Memos.
  • Manage tax audits and controversies, serving as the primary point of contact with tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
